Snails

Aye Folx. A band called Snails wanted people to send in a bunch of snail drawings for a collage-type album layout. I decided what the hey.

Self portraits while under the influence

Wizard boys, cat women, genderless creatues of the night, Mad greetings first up. So, I embarked on a project today in which I self portraited myself after ingesting different mind altering chemicals. Just kinda diggin' deep for inner truths and religious doorways I think? I borrowed the idea for this project from Bryan Saunders - it is very intense stuff, do check it out. In closing I'd like to also borrow a quote from Aldous Huxley's famous essay 'The Doors of Perception' in which he stated "I was fricked up beyond BELIEF!!!! :-))))". Enjoy.

Upcoming show

Hey guys, she-guys, gals, gal-men and friends of other genders, I'll have a good deal of my recent artwork hangin' up at Kreuzberg throughout July and I urge you to come check it out. Also, my prints will be up at The Pour House in Paso until the end of the month when they close their current location, so give that a look as well.

Death examines his scythe

My pal Cameron got me a few choice tubes of acrylic for my birthday a while back which inspired me to get going on larger scale non-watercolor paintings. I've messed around with acrylics in the past, but this is my first serious attempt at a strictly acrylic painting and I learned quite a bit.

Bloodmoon album cover

Recently did album art for my pals in Bloodmoon. It's their debut effort and it's some damn fine tunes. Check them out HERE. Just for fun I put up an alternate version in which the text is slightly different than the version they used which better fit the bands sound.

Artwork featured in SWAP issue 2!

Hey friendgangsters.

My friend Hayley was kind enough to feature my work on the cover and within the pages of her awesome new zine. I'm quite happy with how it all turned out and look forward to contributing to future issues. Here are scans of the pages I'm featured on, pick up a copy of your own in SLO at Kreuzberg, Dr.Cain's or in Paso at Aamsterdam or Empire Smoke Shop. Also, check out SWAP on Facebook and 'like' the hell out of it.

P.S. Oddly enough, the poem that was paired up with the pen and ink drawing is titled 'View from a Train Window Outside Lompoc, California'. The reference photo I used for the angled telephone pole (below) was actually taken from a train window near Salinas, Ca. Purely a coincidence.

Junkie fiddling with laces

Lil' ink drawing I did about a year ago. We were living in San Francisco's bittersweet Tenderloin district and this was inspired by one of its gnarled inhabitants.

King Goatlad and his kin

Watercolor portraits of Goatlad and his kin made for a wood family frame I got at Goodwill a while back. Used some red enamel based ink on Goatlad himself.

Our Town Jam 2012

Hey weeblo scoutlettes. I threw together a little jam-jam with my drums and keyboard and put it alongside some footage from around Our Town, a microcosm of nature thriving among decay. The rattlesnakes mating were in Montana De Oro.
